Toothless plush art trade

okey dokey, so this is my half of an art trade with , a similar version of the toothless plush i made forever ago he has about the same dimensions as the other one, but i made a bunch of minor changes to him since i learned a lot from my mistakes on the other one. i think he came out WAY better this time compared to the old one (good enough that i want to make a second one more like this for myself )

first things first, i'm shipping him unstuffed, so i left a medium sized hole on the top of his neck and sewed up the sides to make it less enormous. i stuffed him as best i could for the pic (i say that because i dont quite have enough stuffing to make him as dense as he should be) so you can tell what he'll look like when he's stuffed again that also explains why there is a large white patch on his neck... i pinned the hole shut for the pictures, but of course it didn't hold too well

now on to the changes i made! the least noticable of them, in my opinion, is the fact that i lengthened the back spikes by about half of what they were before. figured they were too short.

moving on to the eyes, which are made of fleece this time as opposed to felt, and i hand painted them a mottled green that slowly fades to a lighter shade near his pupil. you cant tell all that well in the pictures though....ugh, stupid picture taking

next, i changed his claws from felt to a faux leather i had, so they dont blend in with the black fleece like they did before oh, and i also made a slight adjustment to the wings. the arm thing in them isnt so awkwardly shaped, and i stuffed them more loosely so they arent stiff and dont put so much pressure on the seams.

finally, i made his red prosthetic fin as opposed to the brown one, and i personally love how it came out! definitely makes me want to sew more of them....
